Climate East Midlands Case Study

Climate East Midlands is one of nine regional climate change partnerships in England working to coordinate action on the causes and consequences of climate change.

The specification for this brand new site was to create a credible web presence for the organisation on which to build further features and functionality. The focus of this initial phase site development was to provide resources, news updates and information about the activities of the partners and their projects around the East Midlands region. The existing visual brand was built in to a clear and easy-to-navigate design.

Links to social media accounts, a twitter feed and an e-newsletter sign-up form ensures that CEM can keep in touch with its visitors and service uses.

We incorporated the Expression Engine content management system which enables the CEM team to update all areas of the site. The staff were also given training and guidance on how to use the system and how to write and prepare content for the web.

Ongoing support and development is provided to Climate East Midlands and since its initial build an events calendar has been added, along with an extended categorised 'Resources' area. Local Action is an additional section which demonstrates CEM's work around the 9 East Midlands areas.
