This was a collaborative project which involved working alongside a graphic designer, who created the visual brand for this website. Our role was to advise on usability in the design, develop the coding and content management system and provide training to the content editors.
Leicestershire Support for Carers includes online registration, allowing service users to become site members and access additional information and support from the organisation. Members' log-in allows updates and changes to their profile as well as access to a discussion forum.
Public facing sections include a directory of support organisations, categorised by geographical area in Leicestershire county plus details of local support groups and places to meet other carers. The Twitter feed and News sections provide frequent updates on issues relating to carers and a commenting facilitiy is avaiable on news stories. Other useful resources such links, downloads, FAQs and volunteering information are included.
