Redbridge Information, Advice and Support Service provides free, impartial information to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their parents or carers. This is their first autonomous website after previously having their information online at the Local Authority website.
RIASS' brief had accessibility and clarity at its heart due to the large amount of information in different formats which needed to be organised and presented in a very easy-to-use and useful format. The content is structured to present relevant information to its main service users - parents and carers, children and young people and includes useful guides, videos, contact details of other services and questions and answers.
The website uses RIASS' traditional brand with an updated style, always focussing on strong contrast to meet accessibility standards. GDPR compliancy is incorporated and the design is responsive for mobile, tablet and desktop size screens.
Training, guidance and ongoing support is provided and the website is hosted at our own Green Hosting service.
