Support for Carers Leicestershire is an online resource providing independent advice and support to Leicestershire's 70,000 carers.

This was a collaborative project which involved working alongside a graphic designer, who created the visual brand for this website. Our role was to advise on usability in the design, develop the coding mark-up and content management system and provide training to the content editors.

Leicestershire Support for Carers includes online registration, allowing service users to become site members and access additional information and support from the organisation. Members' log-in also allows updates and changes to their profile.

Public facing sections include a directory of related organisations, categorised by geographical area in Leicestershire county plus details of local support groups and places to meet other carers. The Twitter feed and News sections provide frequent updates on issues relating to carers and a commenting facilitiy is avaiable on news stories. Other useful resources such links, downloads, FAQs and volunteering information are included.
