Foxglove Covert Local Nature Reserve in North Yorkshire is a Site of Local Nature Conservation Importance. This beautiful 94 acre reserve is home to more than 2000 species and with a range of habitats from woodland and wetland to healthland and meadows it really is a special place to discover and enjoy wildlife. There is strong emphasis on education at all levels and regular events are held for visitors. It also has a reputation for excellence in bird ringing.
Previously Foxglove Covert had a static website and an external blog using Blogger. Their aim with the new website was to update the visual design for improved usability and to tie in with their existing brand. A content manangement system was implemented and new sections added, highlighting the varied habitats and species on the reserve, as well as the educational activities available. Some of the features include an interactive map of reserve habitats, categorised and searchable species lists, educational activity sheets and photo galleries. The blog is also now integrated within the main website.
The Foxglove Covert website is hosted by Green Hosting.
