It’s your blog too…
Last Friday’s post was a little heavy and since then I’ve been having a lot of interesting conversations about the way green/ethical business is perceived and how those of us who run ‘ethical’ businesses should communicate what we do. I put the word ‘ethical’ in inverted commas because a big part of the discussions have been about what we mean when we are using certain words to describe our business and how that may be perceived - Hmmm lots of food for thought.
Anyway, that is a huge subject and I wanted to finish this week with something a bit lighter but still ask for your views.
This blog is meant for you - Make Hay clients, those interested in finding out more about us, colleagues and associates. So, tell us what you want to see here.
What would be most interesting and useful? Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Make Hay’s services and prices?
- Resources and information to help you manage your website or blog?

- Ethical business discussions?

I would be interested to hear information about managing websites and blogs if you get the chance.
One of the key issues I have is whether it is best to have a website or a blog.
With respects to being found on google for example it’s important to have “title tags” such as “description” and “key words” but this function is not available with blogs. Or is it?
At the moment I have a website and blogs and also a blog acting as a website. (Does that make sense???)
Anyway…….somehow I have more faith in the website being found than the blogs because of the “title tags”.
So ….yes it would be great to have some blog and website tips.

Hi Karen
We will write posts in the future to cover this in detail (more than we can cover in this comment) but as a short answer - Yes you can add custom meta content to WordPress blogs. Defining Keyword and Description tags is possible - but usually you would require a plugin to allow you to do this within WordPress.
